Abstract: Students will be introduced to the topic of how to test an IOT devices.Nowadays these kind of devices are widespread and very often carelessly configured. We will take a look at how to gather information and figure out the possible attack surface. Then, step by step,, concepts and ideas on some attack surfaces will be introduced:
1) Hardware (UART), 2) Firmware (Static analysis), 3) Exposed services (Common services exposed on an IOT device): how to analyze a Web Interface, and fuzz testing
